September 18, 2016: After being spotted in Europe, the Maruti Suzuki Ignis was again spied on the highways of Delhi NCR recently. The Ignis is already on sale in markets like Japan and will land on Indian shores through the Indian carmaker’s Nexa sub-brand at a base price of around Rs 5-6 lakh. Globally, the car is driven by either a 1.2-litre petrol unit or the 1.3-litre 4-cylinder diesel unit sourced from Fiat. Power is transmitted from both engines via 5-speed manual gearboxes.

November 7, 2015 : Maruti WagonR has been launched at a pricetag of INR 4.76 lacs (Ex-showroom, New Delhi). Earlier, the car was spied with an AMT gearbox. The manufacturer is preparing more AMT-based option with their budget cars. Before that, the company launched a limited edition model of the WagonR called the WagonR Avance. The Avance will be based on the Lxi and the Lxi CNG variants of the wagonR and will incorporate new features like 2-din stereo with Bluetooth, dual tone dashboard, beige inserts and rear-seat power windows.

Sept 9, 2016: The premium hatchback offering from Maruti Suzuki is already a bestseller with bookings crossing the 1 lakh units mark and waiting periods leading up to 6 months on some variants. But with the company set to manufacture the car at its upcoming Gujarat plant from early 2017, the beeline could drop down significantly. The Baleno is available in four trims – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha – and seven colour options. An automatic variant is available but only with the Delta variant. Rivals include Honda Jazz and Hyundai i20.

December 04, 2015: Suzuki has introduced the new 1.4-liter BoosterJet engine with Vitara S in the UK. Earlier in November, Suzuki Vitara was spied at a Maruti-Suzuki premises (presumably) in Noida. There are 3 Vitaras that appear to be the European spec vehicles of the compact SUV and they are probably brought here to be showcased at the upcoming 2016 Indian Auto Expo. The car was first unveiled at the Paris Motor Show that took place early this year. While, it is based upon the iV-4 concept that was revealed back in 2013 and carries a contemporary boxy styling.

February 25, 2016: Maruti has announced attractive discounts across the range of its diesel cars and one can buy the second most popular offering by Maruti, the Dzire D compact sedan for discounts of upto Rs. 65000. Maruti Swift along with Swift Dzire D compact sedan incorporate the company’s time-tested 1.3-litre, Fiat-sourced the DDiS diesel engine, which produces 74bhp of power output and 190Nm of peak torque. Like Celerio, both of these cars are offered with ABS and airbags as optional extras across all variants, whereas VDi and ZDi variants get both as standard.

7th-Dec-2011: Maruti Suzuki is going to showcase MR Wagon ‘kei’ in Indian Auto Expo to be held in capital city-Delhi in Jan. Maruti Suzuki is all set to bring two kei cars-one of which is MR Wagon. Kei cars fall in a category of small cars in Japan and are quite popular in the country. MR Wagon Kei car is a 3 cylinder, 657cc petrol engined car. Besides this it is available in both turbocharged and naturally aspirated form. The turbocharged version produces 60 BHP power and a peak torque of 97 Nm while on the other hand aspirated engine produces 54 Bhp power and 64Nm torque.
